Introduction

FEBUTAZ 40 TABLET is used in the management of gout which is associated with an excess of a chemical called uric acid in the body. It contains a medicine called Febuxostat which is used to lower uric acid levels in patients with gout. It works by blocking the actions of an enzyme called xanthine oxidase, which plays a key role in the production of uric acid in the body. Take FEBUTAZ 40 TABLET as advised by your physician. It can be taken with or without food. During the initial days of the therapy, febuxostat can cause flare up of gout attacks in some individuals which is normal. Over the period of use, these flare ups usually reduce and becomes less painful upon everyday usage. If these flare ups are not manageable, consult your doctor for advice.
