Introduction
FAMTAC 40MG TABLET contains Famotidine which belongs to the group of medicines called H2 receptor antagonists. It is used in management of stomach ulcers (gastric/duodenal ulcers), reflux esophagitis (irritation and inflammation caused by stomach acid leaking up into the oesophagus) and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (recurrent tumours and ulcers in stomach and intestines). Along with FAMTAC 40MG TABLET, your doctor might ask you to take enough rest and drink plenty of fluids. Consuming simple foods and avoiding oily and spicy foods might be beneficial as well. Before starting the management with FAMTAC 40MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have a kidney disease, tumour in your stomach or are intolerant to certain sugars. How It Works
FAMTAC 40MG TABLET effectively heals stomach ulcers by blocking certain receptors called Histamine (H2) receptors which are present in the stomach walls which in turn reduces the production of gastric acid and decreases the volume of gastric secretion in the stomach.
Directions for Use
Take FAMTAC 40MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects

KIDNEYFAMTAC 40MG TABLET should be taken with caution in patients with kidney disease. The dose will be adjusted by your doctor. Consult your doctor before taking it. ALLERGYDo not take FAMTAC 40MG TABLET if you are allergic to Famotidine or any other ingredients of this medicine.
