Introduction

ESPRA 40MG TABLET contains Esomeprazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Proton pump inhibitors. It is used for the management of Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) heartburn in adults and in adolescents above 12 years of age. ESPRA 40MG TABLET also helps in managing stomach ulcers or upper part of the gut (intestine) that are infected with Helicobacter pylori bacteria and Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) medicines in adults and in adolescents above 12 years of age. It is also used to manage Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (too much acid produced in the stomach caused by a growth in the pancreas). How It Works

ESPRA 40MG TABLET is a proton pump inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of enzymes in the stomach cell. It hence reduces gastric acidity by blocking the final step in acid production and helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.

Directions for Use

Take ESPRA 40MG TABLET as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Swallow ESPRA 40MG TABLET with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Side Effects

ALCOHOLAvoid or limit the consumption of alcohol while taking ESPRA 40MG TABLET because it might increase the amount of acid in your stomach than normal which can irritate your stomach lining and worsen your symptoms. KIDNEYESPRA 40MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney problems. Consult your doctor before taking ESPRA 40MG TABLET. LIVER[GBNKWEYWORD] should be used with caution in patients with severe liver problems. Consult your doctor before taking ESPRA 40MG TABLET.
