Introduction

ESLO AT 2.5MG TABLET is a combination of S(-)Amlodipine and Atenolol which belongs to the group of medicine called Antihypertensive agents. It is used to manage hypertension (also known as high blood pressure) and angina pectoris (chest pain caused due to lack of oxygen supply to the heart). It can also be used to reduce the risk of heart attack (myocardial infarction) among heart patients. Take ESLO AT 2.5MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Avoid drinking grapefruit juice while taking ESLO AT 2.5MG TABLET, as it could further decrease your blood pressure and may make you feel dizzier, drowsier or faint. ESLO AT 2.5MG TABLET contains two medicines namely S(-)Amlodipine and Atenolol. Atenolol blocks the effects of certain hormones (adrenaline) in the body that naturally increases heart rate. This slows down the heartbeat and makes the heart to pump blood with a lesser force. S(-)Amlodipine is a vasodilator. It relaxes the blood vessels supplying the heart which improves blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart muscles. Collectively, they reduce the strain on the heart and improves heart functions.
