INTRODUCTION ABOUT EMPROGEST 8% GELEMPROGEST 8% GEL is a vaginal gel used in females to manage female infertility due to incorrect levels of progesterone during the menstrual cycle or when you are having an assisted fertility procedure. It contains a medicine called Progesterone which is a synthetic female hormone. When the gel is inserted into your vagina, the progesterone will slowly release into your bloodstream throughout the day which mimics the actions of natural progesterone produced in your body. EMPROGEST 8% GEL is for vaginal use only. Gently insert the gel using the applicator into the vagina. Wash your hands before and after application. Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, unexplained vaginal bleeding, migraine or history of depression as a precaution. EMPROGEST 8% GEL contains progesterone which is a synthetic form of naturally occurring female sex hormone. Upon application into the vagina, it slowly releases the medicine and mimic as a natural progesterone which is required in maintaining optimum uterine thickness for egg implantation and maintenance of pregnancy in the early stages.
Directions for Use
Use EMPROGEST 8% GEL under medical supervision Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. EMPROGEST 8% GEL usually comes with a pre-filled applicator. Take the required amount of the medicine into the gel applicator Lie on your back with your knees bent or stand with one foot elevated, whichever is more comfortable for you. Gently insert the gel using the applicator into your vagina, pushing it as far as comfortable. Slowly press the plunger to release the gel into the vagina. Remove the applicator and discard it if it’s disposable or wash it with soap and water if it’s reusable. Wash your hands again after the application.
