INTRODUCTION ABOUT ELORES INJECTIONELORES INJECTION is a combination of Ceftriaxone and Sulbactam which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used in the management of infections of the brain (meningitis), lungs, middle ear, abdomen and abdominal wall (peritonitis), urinary tract and kidneys, bones and joints, skin or soft tissues, blood, and heart. ELORES INJECTION can also be used to manage specific sexually transmitted infections (gonorrhoea and syphilis), patients with low white blood cell counts (neutropenia) who have fever due to bacterial infection, Lyme disease (caused by tick bites) and to manage infections during surgery ELORES INJECTION is not recommended for use in premature babies and new-born babies having jaundice. Before receiving ELORES INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney diseases, colitis, haemolytic anaemia, gall stones or kidney stones, upcoming surgeries, pancreatitis. How It Works

ELORES INJECTION helps to manage infections, where Ceftriaxone is a cephalosporin antibiotic which works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell wall, leading to destruction of the bacteria and sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which works by binding and inhibiting beta-lactamase (an enzyme that destroys antibiotic activity) produced by bacterial cells and thereby manages the reduction in antibacterial activity.

Directions for Use

ELORES INJECTION will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse into a vein as an intravenous injection or infusion or into a muscle as intramuscular injection. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of ELORES INJECTION for you depending upon your age, body weight and severity of disease condition.

Side Effects

LIVERELORES INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Consult your doctor before receiving. ALLERGYDo not receive ELORES INJECTION if you are allergic to ceftriaxone, sulbactam or to penicillin or similar antibiotics like carbapenems or monobactams or lidocaine or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine. OTHERSTell your physician before receiving ELORES INJECTION if you have or had: gut problems like colitis (inflammation of the bowel) pancreatitis haemolytic anaemia low sodium diet upcoming surgeries gall bladder stones blood tests (coombs test) or urine test (for glucose) Use in paediatrics: ELORES INJECTION is not recommended for use in premature babies and new-born babies with jaundice. Drug Interactions

SA. Drug – Drug Interactions: Before receiving ELORES INJECTION, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines: medicine used to manage blood cancer (Ex. amsacrine) medicines used to manage certain infections (Ex. vancomycin, chloramphenicol, tobramycin, gentamycin) medicine used to manage fungal infections (Ex. fluconazole) medicines used to manage pregnancy, oral contraceptives (Ex. ethinyl estradiol, levonorgestrel) medicines used to manage blood clots (Ex. dabigatran, rivaroxaban) medicines used to manage gout (Ex. probenecid) calcium containing diluents such as ringers’ solution and Hartman’s solution Overdosage: ELORES INJECTION will be administered only by a doctor or a nurse in a hospital, and so it is unlikely to receive an overdose. However, consult your doctor or nurse if there are any unusual symptoms.
