Introduction

ELINA 10MG TABLET contains Mizolastine which belongs to the group of medicines called Histamine Antagonists. ELINA 10MG TABLET is used to reduce symptoms of hay fever (allergic reaction to pollen) and other allergic reactions that cause irritation to the eyes and nose in affected individuals. It is also used to reduce symptoms of urticaria, which is an itchy skin rash that occurs due to reaction to food, medicine, and/or other irritants in affected individuals. ELINA 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Mizolastine. It is also not recommended for use in patients with liver problems, and/or heart problems (such as irregular heartbeat, slow heart rate). Before taking ELINA 10MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have diabetes, intolerance to certain sugars (such as lactose), and/or kidney problems (such as renal insufficiency). ELINA 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use during pregnancy (especially in the first three months) which is also advised to be avoided in breastfeeding women since the medicine may pass through breastmilk. ELINA 10MG TABLET works by blocking histamine (chemical responsible for causing allergic symptoms in the body) which helps to reduce occurrence of allergic symptoms associated with hay fever, other allergic reactions, and urticaria in affected individuals.

Directions for Use

Take ELINA 10MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight, and disease condition.

Drug-Drug interactions: Before taking ELINA 10MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine: macrolide antibiotics (medicines used to manage bacterial infections) (Ex. erythromycin, clarithromycin, azithromycin) medicines used to manage fungal infections such as imidazole (Ex. ketoconazole, fluconazole, itraconazole) cimetidine (used to manage stomach ulcers) ciclosporin (used as an immunosuppressant) nifedipine (used to manage high blood pressure/heart disease) Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of ELINA 10MG TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital to manage overdose symptoms.
