Introduction
ELICIA 4MG TABLET contains Blonanserin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antipsychotic agents. ELICIA 4MG TABLET is used to manage schizophrenia, which occurs as a serious mental disorder that affects a person’s ability to think, feel or behave clearly. ELICIA 4MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Blonanserin. Before taking ELICIA 4MG TABLET, inform the doctor if the patient is in coma state and/or have kidney/liver problems. ELICIA 4MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women only if it is clearly necessary. How It Works
ELICIA 4MG TABLET works by blocking dopamine D2 receptors (proteins responsible for synthesis and release of dopamine) in brain which results in reduced synthesis of dopamine thus improving thoughts, feelings and behaviour and thereby managing symptoms of schizophrenia in affected individuals.
Directions for Use
Take ELICIA 4MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects
taking ELICIA 4MG TABLET are symptoms of Parkinson's syndrome (such as tremor in limbs, muscle rigidity, slow movement), akathisia (restlessness), insomnia, drowsiness, anxiety, irritability, itchiness and/or rash. B. Drug - Food interaction: Avoid consumption of grapefruit juice while taking ELICIA 4MG TABLET since it may increase the effect of this medicine. Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of ELICIA 4MG TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital to manage overdose symptoms.
