Introduction
INTRODUCTION ABOUT EBAST SUSPENSIONEBAST SUSPENSION contains Ebastine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihistamines. It is used for the symptomatic management of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and it is also used for chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children aged above 2 years of age. Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis is an inflammatory condition of the nose that occurs when exposed to allergens. Symptoms include nasal obstruction, sneezing, itching or runny nose and chronic idiopathic urticaria is characterized by red, itchy skin welts that last more than six weeks. EBAST SUSPENSION should be used with caution in patients with impaired kidney, liver function, heart diseases, low blood potassium levels. Consult your doctor before taking it. How It Works
EBAST SUSPENSION works by blocking the effect of histamine (a chemical messenger) which is responsible for the allergic reactions in the body, thereby providing relief from allergic symptoms such as swelling, itching, running nose, sneezing, rashes and watery eyes.
Directions for Use
Take EBAST SUSPENSION as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. It can be taken with or without food. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects

BREASTFEEDINGEBAST SUSPENSION is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it is not known whether this medicine passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking EBAST SUSPENSION. DRIVING AND USING MACHINESDo not drive or operate any machines if you feel sleepiness after taking EBAST SUSPENSION. ALCOHOLAvoid consumption of alcohol while taking EBAST SUSPENSION since it may increase sleepiness. KIDNEYEBAST SUSPENSION should be used with caution in patients with renal insufficiency. Consult your doctor before taking EBAST SUSPENSION. LIVEREBAST SUSPENSION should be used with caution in patients with impaired liver function. Consult your doctor before taking EBAST SUSPENSION. ALLERGYEBAST SUSPENSION is not recommended for use if you are allergic to Ebastine or any of its ingredients. HEART DISEASEEBAST SUSPENSION should be used with caution in patients with QTc interval prolongation (irregular electrical activity of the heart). Consult your doctor before taking EBAST SUSPENSION. OTHERSBefore taking EBAST SUSPENSION, inform your doctor if you: have hypokalemia Use in Pediatrics: EBAST SUSPENSION should be used with caution in children aged above 2 years of age. Drug Interactions
SA. Drug-Drug Interactions: Before taking EBAST SUSPENSION, inform your doctor, if you are taking any of the following medicine: ketoconazole, itraconazole (medicines used to manage fungal infections) clarithromycin, erythromycin (medicines used to manage bacterial infections) diazepam (a medicine used to anxiety, alcohol withdrawal and seizures) rifampicin (used to manage tuberculosis) Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of EBAST SUSPENSION, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
