Introduction
EBAST DC TABLET is a combination of Ebastine and Phenylephrine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihistamines and Nasal decongestants respectively. It is used to manage the symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis. Allergic rhinitis is the inflammation of mucous membranes of nose in sensitized individuals when inhaled allergenic particles or contact with mucous membranes and induce a response mediated by antibodies (IgE). Symptoms include clear fluid from nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, allergic inflammation of eye, itchy eyes, ears, or nose. Before taking EBAST DC TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any severe kidney, heart, or liver problems. EBAST DC TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnancy and breast feeding. EBAST DC TABLET helps to alleviate rhinitis symptoms, where Ebastine binds preferentially to peripheral H1 receptors and shows anti-allergic activity and manages histamine-induced narrowing of the airways and Phenylephrine narrows the small blood vessels providing temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
Directions for Use
Take EBAST DC TABLET as advised by your doctor. Swallow the medicine as a whole and do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the right dose depends on your age, body weight and disease condition.
