Introduction

INTRODUCTION ABOUT DOXT 100MG COMBIPACK INJECTIONDOXT 100MG COMBIPACK INJECTION contains Doxycycline which belongs to the groups of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used for the management of various bacterial infections like that of respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, eyes, digestive system, bones, blood, etc. DOXT 100MG COMBIPACK INJECTION is also used to manage sexually transmitted infections (Ex. syphilis, gonorrhoea, chlamydia), plague (spreads through rats), cholera (spreads through contaminated water), brucellosis (spreads from animals to human by eating raw dairy products), anthrax (spreads from sheep or cattle), etc. DOXT 100MG COMBIPACK INJECTION can also be used to manage malaria in short-term travellers (<4 months) to areas with chloroquine- and/or pyrimethamine sulphadoxine-resistant strains. It is advised to reduce sun exposure and to use fully covering clothes and sunscreen while going out as there is a chance of getting light sensitivity during management with DOXT 100MG COMBIPACK INJECTION. Before receiving DOXT 100MG COMBIPACK INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have myasthenia gravis, systemic lupus erythematosus, history of intracranial hypertension or oral candidiasis, liver or kidney problems, porphyria or if you are an overweight woman of childbearing age. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies on the use of DOXT 100MG COMBIPACK INJECTION in pregnant women. DOXT 100MG COMBIPACK INJECTION should be used in breastfeeding women only if your doctor finds it necessary. DOXT 100MG COMBIPACK INJECTION reduces bacterial infection by blocking protein synthesis of bacteria and thus managing its growth.

Directions for Use

DOXT 100MG COMBIPACK INJECTION will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse into a vein as an intravenous infusion. Do not try to self-administer the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Side Effects

Drug – Drug interactions: Before receiving DOXT 100MG COMBIPACK INJECTION inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines: medicines used to manage blood clotting (Ex. heparin, warfarin) penicillin (used to manage bacterial infection) medicines used to manage or manage acidity (Ex. aluminium hydroxide, magnesium carbonate, calcium carbonate) bismuth subsalicylate (used to manage diarrhoea) medicines used to manage mood disorders and depression (Ex. phenobarbitone, pentobarbital) medicines used to manage fits (Ex. phenytoin, carbamazepine) methoxyflurane (used to relieve pain associated with trauma) medicine used to manage pregnancy (Ex. ethinylestradiol, norethindrone) Overdosage: DOXT 100MG COMBIPACK INJECTION will be administered to you only by a doctor or a nurse in a hospital and so it is unlikely to receive an overdose.
