How It Works
DOXOMAX XP helps to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, where ambroxol stimulates the production of a substance that lowers surface tension, which keeps the air sacs in the lungs from collapsing after exhalation. Doxophylline inhibits certain enzymes in the body called phosphodiesterase, which in turn increases the substance that leads to muscle relaxation leading to dilation of the constricted airway tract. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory agent to reduce inflammation. This combined action together makes breathing easier.
