Introduction
DOXOCIP TABLET contains Doxofylline which belongs to the group of medicines called Bronchodilators. It is used to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). excessive mucous secretion in the airways which makes it difficult for the air to pass through, leading to unpleasant symptoms like wheezing, difficulty in breathing, chest pain and/or cough. COPD is a lung disease characterized by chronic lung inflammation and obstructed air flow within the airways. It causes wheezing, breathing difficulties, cough with mucus production and chest pain. During management with DOXOCIP TABLET your doctor will periodically monitor the levels of doxofylline in your blood as a precaution and would adjust the dose accordingly. Limit the consumption of caffeine containing foods and beverages (such as coffee) while taking DOXOCIP TABLET. Before taking DOXOCIP TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have hypertension, hyperthyroidism, stomach ulcers or any concomitant infections as a precaution. DOXOCIP TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe hypotension or heart problems (such as myocardial infarction). It is also not suitable for use in breastfeeding women. DOXOCIP TABLET is a bronchodilator. It relaxes the smooth muscles of the airways by blocking the release of certain enzymes (phosphodiesterase) in the respiratory tract that triggers narrowing. As a result, it widens the airways, allows the air to pass through more freely and makes breathing easier.
Directions for Use
Take DOXOCIP TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. However, do not drive or handle any heavy tools or machines if your ability is affected by DOXOCIP TABLET. KIDNEYDOXOCIP TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems. ALLERGYTalk to your doctor before taking DOXOCIP TABLET if you are allergic to Doxofylline or to any other similar medicines (such as etophylline, aminophylline). HEART DISEASEDOXOCIP TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with heart problems (such as heart attack or myocardial infarction).
