Introduction

DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET contains Ketorolac tromethamine, which belongs to the group of medicines called Painkillers. It is indicated for the short-term management of sudden moderately severe pain that occurs usually after any surgical procedure and musculoskeletal pain. Short term pain is referred as the duration of five days or less which is characterised by sudden and sharp in nature. DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET is not recommended for use in patients taking other NSAIDs (Ex. aspirin) or those having advanced kidney, heart, cerebrovascular or gastrointestinal diseases or a tendency to bleed easily. Before taking DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET, inform your doctor if you have liver, lung or heart diseases, high blood pressure or inflammatory bowel diseases. DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnancy (especially during the last 3 months) and in breastfeeding mothers. DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET works by blocking the effects of a substance produced during injury which causes inflammation and pain (prostaglandin) and it also inhibits the pain signals between the brain and nerve endings.

Directions for Use

Take DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET as advised by your physician. It can be taken with or without food. For Tablet, Capsule: Swallow DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. For Dispersible Tablet: Disperse DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET in the specified quantity of water as mentioned in the label. Consume the mixture immediately after reconstitution. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Continue to take DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET for the stipulated duration prescribed by your doctor to achieve better results.

Sip water at regular intervals of time. Do not use mouthwashes that contain alcohol because they can be drying. If symptom persists, contact your doctor. Constipation: Eat plenty of fiber rich foods such as vegetables, fresh fruits and cereals and drink plenty of water. Exercise more regularly. If symptom persists, contact your doctor. ALCOHOLAvoid consumption of alcohol while taking DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET because you would be more likely to develop stomach problems. KIDNEYDISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney disease. DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET should be used with caution in patients with other kidney problems. Consult your doctor for advice. LIVERDISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET should be used with caution in patients with impaired liver function, history of liver disease or any biliary problem. Consult your doctor for advice. ALLERGYDo not take DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET if you are allergic to Ketorolac tromethamine, aspirin or other similar medicines or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. LUNGSDISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET should be used with caution in patients with a family history of asthma, nasal polyps, chronic sinusitis (long-term swelling of the sinus) or hives. Consult your doctor for advice. HEART DISEASEDISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET is not recommended for use if you had or are going to have a heart bypass surgery, have severe uncontrolled heart failure. DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET should be used with caution in patients who have or had high blood pressure, angina, heart attack, congestive heart failure or atherosclerosis (thickening or hardening of your artery walls). Drug-Drug interactions: Before taking DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines: medicines used for depression (Ex. fluvoxamine, sertraline, trazodone, citalopram, fluoxetine, escitalopram, paroxetine, vilazodone) lithium (used to manage mania) medicines used to improve mood, thoughts and behaviour (Ex. thiothixene, alprazolam) other medicines used to reduce pain (Ex. ibuprofen, indomethacin, ketorolac, aspirin, celecoxib, diclofenac, meloxicam, naproxen) methotrexate (medicine used in cancer management) medicines used to manage blood clot (Ex. warfarin, heparin, clopidogrel) medicines used to manage heat problems and high blood pressure (Ex. furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, enalapril, lisinopril, perindopril, ramipril, candesartan, irbesartan, losartan, valsartan, digoxin) medicines used to manage fits (Ex. phenytoin, carbamazepine) prednisolone (used to manage autoimmune and inflammatory diseases) cyclosporin (used to supress immunity) morphine (used in extreme pain) oxpentiphylline (used to manage blood flow problems in legs or arms) probenecid (used to manage gout) Overdosage: If you or anyone accidentally use too much of DISKET 10MG DISPERSIBLE TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital as it may increase the risk of side effects.
