Diovol Cool Blue Chewable Tablet is an antacid and antigas medicine, used to relieve symptoms of hyperacidity that are usually associated with indigestion, peptic ulcer, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), peptic esophagitis (inflammation and swelling of the oesophagus), and hiatus hernia (part of the stomach moves up into the chest). Diovol Cool Blue Chewable Tablet is also used to relieve flatulence (gas). It contains dried aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, magnesium aluminium silicate hydrate, and activated dimethicone as active ingredients that work by neutralizing the excess acid in the stomach. Activated dimethicone, aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and magnesium aluminium silicate are antacids that act by neutralizing the acid in the stomach and by inhibiting pepsin (an enzyme that helps break down protein in the digestive tract). By this mechanism, they raise the pH of the stomach contents and provide relief from hyperacidity. Always take Diovol Cool Blue Chewable Tablet as advised by the physician. Inform your doctor if you have kidney impairment, high magnesium levels in the blood, or if you are aged over 50 years and experiencing heartburn for the first time.
