Introduction
DIGEPLEX T TABLET contains Pancreatin which belongs to the group of medicines called Gastrointestinal agents. DIGEPLEX T TABLET is used to manage exocrine pancreatic enzyme insufficiency (deficient pancreatic enzyme) in affected individuals. It is also used to manage pancreatitis (swelling of pancreas), flatulence, cystic fibrosis (genetic disorder that affects lungs and digestive system), moderate indigestion in diabetes and irritable bowel syndrome (intestinal disorder). The medicine is also indicated for use as digestive aid, and in pancreas removal. DIGEPLEX T TABLET is not recommended to use in patients allergic to pork, and/any other pig product. Before taking DIGEPLEX T TABLET, inform your doctor if you have kidney problems (such as renal impairment), and/or liver problems (such as hepatic impairment). DIGEPLEX T TABLET should be used with caution during pregnancy and in women planning for pregnancy. It is safe to use in breastfeeding women. DIGEPLEX T TABLET is a pancreatic enzyme supplement which works by breaking down fats, starch, and proteins into simpler constituents in the body thus resulting in easy absorption and thereby managing pancreatic enzyme deficiency and its associated symptoms in affected individuals.
Directions for Use
Tablet: Take DIGEPLEX T TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Capsule, Minimicrospheres: Take DIGEPLEX T TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water as a whole or open the capsule and mix the granules (without crushing) in acidic liquid (such as apple/orange/pineapple juice) or soft food (such as apple sauce/yoghurt). Do not crush/chew the medicine and avoid mixing the granules in non-acidic food/liquid (as it may cause irritation in your mouth/alter the effect of the medicine). Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects

SA. Drug-Drug interactions: Before taking DIGEPLEX T TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines. Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of DIGEPLEX T TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. The symptoms of overdosage may include hyperuricosuria (condition marked by increased excretion of uric acid in urine) and hyperuricemia (high uric acid level in blood).
