Introduction
INTRODUCTIONDERINIDE AQ contains Budesonide which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids. It is used to manage or prevent the signs and symptoms of allergic rhinitis and nasal polyps. Allergic rhinitis (also known as hay fever) is an allergic response caused due to sensitivity of an individual against various allergens such as pollens, dusts, moulds, or flakes of skin from certain animals. It can occur seasonally or year-round and often characterized by inflammation of the inner lining of the nose accompanied with nasal congestion, repeated sneezing, and red, watery, or itchy eyes. Nasal polyps are non-cancerous growth of tissues on the linings of the nasal passage. It is caused due to chronic inflammation or infection in the nasal tract, allergic reactions or due to certain immune disorders. It is often characterized by loss of smell, nasal pain, runny nose, repeated sneezing, nasal congestion, changes in taste, headache, abnormal sounds while breathing (snoring) or inability to breathe via nose which may lead to breathing from mouth. DIRECTIONS FOR USEUse DERINIDE AQ as directed by your physician. It is for intranasal use only. Keep the tip of the nozzle gently inside your nose and gently spray the medicine. It is not necessary to inhale the medicine while spraying. Your doctor will decide the correct dose, number of sprays and duration of therapy for you depending up on your age, body weight and disease condition. Avoid contact of DERINIDE AQ with your eyes, ears, or mouth. If contact happens accidentally, rinse it off with water immediately. Drug Interactions
SA. Drug-Drug interactions: Before using DERINIDE AQ, inform your doctor if you are using any of the following medicines such as: medicines used to manage fungal infections (Ex. ketoconazole or itraconazole) medicines containing estrogens such as hormone replacement therapy (Ex. ethinyl estradiol) birth control pills Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally used more of DERINIDE AQ, contact your doctor immediately or go to the nearest hospital straight away.
