Introduction

DERICIP TABLET contains a combination of Etofylline and Theophylline which belongs to the group of medicines called Bronchodilators. It is used in the management of asthma (in which airways narrow and swell and may produce extra mucus, coughing and shortness of breath), chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the lining of bronchial tubes, which carry air to and from lungs causing cough and thick mucus), and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder. Before taking DERICIP TABLET, inform your doctor if you have porphyria, liver, heart, or thyroid problems, worsening of chest symptoms, stomach ulcer, cystic fibrosis, high fever, viral infection, fits, difficulty passing urine (in men), are a smoker, are diabetic, or are going to have an operation. DERICIP TABLET works by relaxing the smooth muscles in the airway, in which Etofylline works by dilating and relaxing the airway muscles, and Theophylline relaxes the smooth muscles located in the bronchial airways and pulmonary blood vessels, reducing the airway's responsiveness to allergens and thereby reducing inflammation.

Directions for Use

Take DERICIP TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will determine the right dose and duration depending upon your age, body weight, and disease condition.
