Introduction

INTRODUCTION ABOUT DEGAPRIDE 120MG INJECTIONDEGAPRIDE 120MG INJECTION is used to manage adult patients with advanced hormone dependent prostate cancer. It contains Degarelix which belongs to the group of medicines called Gonadotrophin-releasing hormone antagonist or GnRH blocker. DEGAPRIDE 120MG INJECTION works by blocking messages from a part of the brain called the hypothalamus that tells the pituitary gland to produce luteinising hormone. Luteinising hormone tells the testicles to produce testosterone. So degarelix stops the testicles making testosterone. Prostate cancer depends on testosterone to grow. Hormone therapy blocks or lowers the amount of testosterone in the body. DEGAPRIDE 120MG INJECTION should be used with caution in patients have low bone density, glucose intolerance, diabetes mellitus, liver, kidney or cardiovascular diseases. DEGAPRIDE 120MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in pregnant women. It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents. Consult your doctor before receiving the medicine.
