DAFLON 500MG TABLET is used to manage venous circulation disorders and relieve the symptoms of an acute hemorrhoidal attack. Venous circulation disorder is a condition caused by raised blood pressure inside the veins that causes damage to them. Acute hemorrhoidal attack is the flare-up of veins in the rectal area, causing too much pressure and swelling inside the affected veins in the rectal area. If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much DAFLON 500MG TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of an overdose are diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal pain, itching, and a rash.

The common side effects associated with the use of DAFLON 500MG TABLET are diarrhoea, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, sleeplessness, dizziness, tiredness, and anxiety. Contact your doctor or a nearby hospital if any of the conditions worsen.

DAFLON 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you are allergic to micronized, purified flavonoid fractions, especially diosmin or hesperidin, or any other ingredients of this medicine. DAFLON 500MG TABLET is not recommended to be used if you have rare hereditary problems such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency (lactose intolerance), or glucose-galactose malabsorption. DAFLON 500MG TABLET is also not recommended to be used in pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, children, or adolescents (under 18 years of age). DAFLON 500MG TABLET works by exerting a dual action on the vein circulation system: at the vein and venule (small veins) levels. It increases venous tone and exerts an anti-stasis action, thereby improving the blood circulation in them. At the microcirculatory level, it optimises capillary (the smallest blood vessels) permeability, thereby reducing blood pooling. It also reduces the release of certain inflammatory agents, thereby reducing swelling in the veins.

Take DAFLON 500MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water at mealtimes. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will determine the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight, and disease condition.

If you forgot to take your DAFLON 500MG TABLET dose, take it as early as possible. Do not double up the dose to make up for the forgotten one. Consult your doctor before taking DAFLON 500MG TABLET.

Take this medicine for 15 days to manage hemorrhoidal episodes. If your problem persists for longer than 15 days, it is necessary that you consult your doctor. Stop taking DAFLON 500MG TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience swelling of the face or mouth (angioedema) causing difficulty in breathing.

The usual dosage is 2 tablets daily, which is 1 tablet at midday and 1 tablet in the evening, at mealtimes. If you take DAFLON 500MG TABLET for relieving the symptoms of a hemorrhoidal attack, the usual dosage is 6 tablets per day for 4 days and then 4 tablets per day for the next 3 days.
