Introduction
CTD M 6.25/25MG TABLET is a combination of Chlorthalidone and Metoprolol which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensive drugs. CTD M 6.25/25MG TABLET is used to manage mild to moderate hypertension (high blood pressure). How It Works
CTD M 6.25/25MG TABLET lowers blood pressure, where chlorthalidone inhibits sodium reabsorption at the kidney tubule by blocking the sodium-chloride symporter which results in increasing the excretion of sodium and extracellular fluid and decreasing intravascular water and solute concentration which causes a reduction in pressure on walls resulting in reduced blood pressure and metoprolol reduces the effect of stress hormones on the heart related to physical and mental exertion, resulting in the heart beating slower (pulse rate reduced).
Directions for Use
Take CTD M 6.25/25MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of CTD M 6.25/25MG TABLET for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

KIDNEYCTD M 6.25/25MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney problems, kidney stones or if you are not passing any urine at all. Overdosage symptom of CTD M 6.25/25MG TABLET includes excessively low blood pressure and a decrease in heart rate that can even lead to cardiac arrest, heart muscle weakness and shock. Other symptoms include breathing problems, constriction of the muscles in the respiratory tract, vomiting, disturbances of consciousness and even fits.
