Introduction

CRESAR AM 40/5MG TABLET is used in the management of hypertension. It is preferably used when treatment with single BP medicines does not provide adequate control in blood pressure. It contains a combination of two medicines, namely Amlodipine and Telmisartan which works by relaxing the blood vessels supplying the heart and other organs which reduces the strain on the heart and decreases blood pressure. Take CRESAR AM 40/5MG TABLET under medical supervision. It can be taken with or without meals. Do not take alcohol or grapefruit juice while taking CRESAR AM 40/5MG TABLET, as it could severely decrease your blood pressure. CRESAR AM 40/5MG TABLET is a combination of two medications namely, amlodipine and telmisartan. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing the blood vessels and improving blood flow by preventing calcium from entering the muscles of the heart and arteries, which helps to lower blood pressure. Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), which blocks the hormone angiotensin II, preventing it from tightening blood vessels. This also helps relax the blood vessels and reduce blood pressure. Together, these two drugs provide better control of high blood pressure.
