Introduction
CPDOX O TABLET is a combination of Cefpodoxime and Ofloxacin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. CPDOX O TABLET is used to manage mild to moderate bacterial infections such as acute otitis media, pharyngitis, and sinusitis. CPDOX O TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Cefpodoxime, Ofloxacin, and/other cephalosporin antibiotics (such as cephalexin). It is also not recommended for use in patients suffering from epilepsy. Before taking CPDOX O TABLET, inform your doctor if you have stomach/intestinal disease, blood clotting disorders, diarrhoea, kidney disease, and/or liver disease. CPDOX O TABLET is not recommended for use during pregnancy as it may cause harm to the foetus. It is also not recommended for use in breastfeeding women since it may pass through breast milk. CPDOX O TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) and is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged above 65 years) after consulting the doctor. How It Works
CPDOX O TABLET manages bacterial infections, where Cefpodoxime works by managing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of the bacteria in the human body and Ofloxacin works by inhibiting DNA gyrase (enzyme responsible for replication, transcription and repair of the DNA) which results in destruction of bacteria thus managing and managing the spread of bacterial infection in affected individuals.
Directions for Use
Take CPDOX O TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
