Noscapine is a non-sedating opioid medicine that suppress cough by blocking the cough centres in the medulla oblongata. Sodium Citrate and Ammonium chloride are expectorants. They facilitate the expulsion of phlegm (cold/mucus) from the respiratory tract which clears airway congestion. Together they provide relief from repeated, tickling cough associated with mucus.
