It is used to treat male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) It is used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia Talk to Doctor Pregnancy & Breast Feeding Children & Adolescents Driving & Using Machines Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you: are allergic to finasteride and tamsulosin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine are suffering from severe liver or kidney problems suffering from fall due to reduced blood pressure when changing posture (going to sit or stand up) are undergoing or have been scheduled for eye surgery because of cloudiness of the lens (cataract) CONTIFLO OD F is only intended for men Do not give this medicine to children or adolescent under 18 years CONTIFLO OD F can make you feel drowsiness or dizziness and it sometimes makes people fall asleep very suddenly without warning If you could be affected, do not drive, do not operate machines Tell your doctor about any other medicine you are taking: alpha-1 adrenoceptor antagonists ketoconazole, erythromycin used to treat infections or already taking finasteride or any other 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or any other condition Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you The recommended dose is one medicine daily One medicine per day to be taken after breakfast or the first meal of each day It must be swallowed whole and not be crunched or chewed If you take more CONTIFLO OD F If you take more CONTIFLO OD F, talk to your doctor immediately If you forget to take CONTIFLO OD F If you have forgotten to take your CONTIFLO OD F take them as soon as possible on the same day Do not take a double dose If you stop taking CONTIFLO OD F Do not stop taking CONTIFLO OD F without talking to your doctor Serious Common Uncommon Rare Very Rare Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. swelling of your lips, face, tongue and throat difficulty swallowing lumps under your skin (hives) and breast tissue breathing difficulties depression (feelings of severe sadness and unworthiness) enlargement of the breast tissue or nipple discharge as these may be signs of a serious condition, such as breast cancer allergic reactions such as rash, itching breast swelling or tenderness palpitations pain in the testicles fast heart beat persistent difficulty having an erection after discontinuation of treatment persistent decrease in sex drive after discontinuation of treatment persistent problems with ejaculation after discontinuation of treatment infertility has been reported in men who took finasteride for a long time liver problems dizziness, particularly when going to sit or stand up ejaculation disorders less desire to have sex difficulty having an erection depression headache palpitations reduced blood pressure dizziness runny or blocked nose (rhinitis) diarrhoea feeling sick vomiting constipation sudden local swelling of the soft tissues of the body (e.g. the throat or tongue) difficulty in breathing priapism inflammation and blistering of the skin and mucous membranes of the lips, eyes, mouth, nasal passages or genitals (Stevens-Johnson syndrome) Additional Information Storage NA Keep this medicine out of reach of children Do not use this medicine after the expiry date Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
