It contains 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol and amylmetacresol as active ingredients that work by killing the virus and bacteria in your throat. 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol and amylmetacresol exert virucidal action by disrupting the protein structure of the virus and reducing the viral load. They relieve the soreness and discomfort in the throat by working in the area of discomfort and helping to lubricate and soothe the painful area. Take one Cofsils Fresh Mint Lozenge every three hours or as advised by your physician. It is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
