Introduction
INTRODUCTION ABOUT CLONEON 150MG INJECTIONCLONEON 150MG INJECTION contains Clonidine which belongs to group of medicines called Antihypertensives. CLONEON 150MG INJECTION is used to manage hypertensive crisis (sudden severe increase in blood pressure) in affected individuals. CLONEON 150MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients allergic to clonidine. It is also not recommended for use in patients with heart problems (such as sick sinus syndrome, second/third degree heart block). Before receiving CLONEON 150MG INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have Raynaud’s disease (condition marked decreased circulation to the fingers), other blood circulation problems, depression, constipation, kidney problems (such as renal insufficiency), and/or liver disease. CLONEON 150MG INJECTION should be used with caution in pregnant women only if it is clearly necessary. The medicine is not recommended for use in breast-feeding women. CLONEON 150MG INJECTION is also not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) and is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years/above) after consulting the doctor. How It Works
CLONEON 150MG INJECTION works by reducing sympathetic outflow from central nervous system that causes blood vessels to relax which results in heart to pump blood more efficiently around the body leading to decreased blood pressure thus managing high blood pressure in hypertensive crisis in affected individuals.
Directions for Use
CLONEON 150MG INJECTION will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse into a vein as an intravenous injection. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects

ALCOHOLAvoid consumption of alcohol while receiving CLONEON 150MG INJECTION since it may alter the effect of the medicine. KIDNEYCLONEON 150MG INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems such as renal insufficiency. Consult your doctor before receiving CLONEON 150MG INJECTION. LIVERCLONEON 150MG INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Consult your doctor before receiving CLONEON 150MG INJECTION. ALLERGYDo not receive CLONEON 150MG INJECTION if you are allergic to clonidine, and/or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. HEART DISEASECLONEON 150MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients with heart problems such as sick sinus syndrome (that cause slow heart rate), and/or second/third degree heart block. It should be used with caution in patients with other heart problems such as heart failure. Consult your doctor before receiving the medicine. Drug Interactions
SA. Drug - Drug interactions: Before receiving CLONEON 150MG INJECTION, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines: non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (used to manage pain and reduce fever) Ex. ibuprofen tricyclic antidepressants (used to manage depression) Ex. amitriptyline, imipramine neuroleptics/ antipsychotics (used for severe mental illness) Ex. chlorpromazine, haloperidol beta blockers (used to manage hypertension) Ex. atenolol water tablets/diuretics (used to manage hypertension) Ex. frusemide alpha blockers (used for prostate problems in men) Ex. prazosin, doxazosin mirtazapine (used to manage depression) vasodilators (medicines used to lower blood pressure) Ex. diazoxide, sodium nitroprusside calcium antagonists (used to manage hypertension) Ex. verapamil, diltiazem hydrochloride ACE inhibitors (used to manage hypertension) Ex. captopril, lisinopril digitalis glycoside (used to manage heart disorders) Ex. digoxin Over dosage: CLONEON 150MG INJECTION will be administered to you only by a doctor or a nurse in a hospital, and so it is unlikely to receive an overdose. However, consult your doctor or nurse if you experience any unusual symptoms such as generalized sympathetic depression, pupillary constriction (narrowing of eye pupil), lethargy, slow heart rate, low blood pressure, hypothermia (severe drop in body temperature), excess sleepiness, respiratory depression including apnea (potentially serious sleep disorder), and/or coma.
