Introduction
INTRODUCTION ABOUT CLAVPOD DS DRY SYRUPCLAVPOD DS DRY SYRUP is a combination of Cefpodoxime and Clavulanic acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Cephalosporins and Beta-lactamase inhibitors, respectively. CLAVPOD DS DRY SYRUP is used in children to manage mild to moderate infections such as otitis media (middle ear infection), nose & throat infections, respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, reproductive tract infection, and skin infection. CLAVPOD DS DRY SYRUP is not recommended for use in children allergic to Cefpodoxime, Clavulanic acid, and/or other cephalosporin group of antibiotics. It is also not recommended for use in children suffering from galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency (lactose intolerance), and glucose-galactose malabsorption (condition marked by body’s inability to absorb glucose and galactose sugars). Before administering CLAVPOD DS DRY SYRUP, inform your doctor if the child has previous history of hypersensitivity reactions to medicines such as cefpodoxime, other cephalosporins, penicillin, and/or have kidney problems (such as mild/moderate/severe renal impairment), and liver problems (such as hepatic insufficiency/impairment). Directions for Use
Dry Syrup/ Oral Suspension: Administer CLAVPOD DS DRY SYRUP as advised by your physician. Shake the dry powder loose and reconstitute the dry powder in required quantity of water before consuming.
