Detailed Information
Introduction
INTRODUCTIONCILNIDIB N is a combination of Cilnidipine and Nebivolol which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensives. It is used in the management of essential hypertension that occurs when you have abnormally high blood pressure not because of a medical condition. Hypertension is a condition in which force of the blood is consistently high against the walls of the arteries which can increase the risk of heart disease, kidney disease, and stroke. It is characterized by symptoms such as blurry vision, chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, fatigue, mental confusion, nosebleed, and severe headaches. Nebivolol is a beta-blocker which works by reducing the force of contraction of the heart muscles by the blocking the effects of certain hormones called adrenaline and making the heart to beat more easily thus it lowers the blood pressure. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker which decreases the blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and enhances easy flow of blood to the heart muscles. CILNIDIB N is not recommended for use in patients having kidney, lung, liver, or heart diseases, unmanageed phaeochromocytoma, diabetic ketoacidosis, serious circulation problems, and low blood pressure. CILNIDIB N should be used with caution in patients who have diabetes, overactive thyroid gland, allergy, peripheral oedema, and who require anesthesia. CILNIDIB N should not be used by pregnant or breast-feeding women, children, and adolescents below 18 years of age. CILNIDIB N should be used with caution in elderly individuals above 75 years of age. The most common
