It is also used to manage bone and joint infections, gonorrhoea (sexually transmitted bacterial infection), endometritis (inflammation of the uterine lining due to infection), pelvic inflammatory disease (infection of the female reproductive organs), and other infections of the genital tract. Bacterial infections are caused by the multiplication of specific harmful strains of bacteria anywhere in the body.
