Introduction

CARTINEX 500MG TABLET contains Ranolazine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antianginals. It is used to manage chronic angina. Angina pectoris can be defined as a sudden, sharp and severe chest pain that originates from the apex of the heart and radiates to the left shoulder. It can be characterized by the presence of severe and crushing pain along with a feeling of pressure and suffocation, especially behind the breastbone. CARTINEX 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney disease, moderate to severe liver disease. Contact your doctor before taking. CARTINEX 500MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease, mild liver disease and moderate to severe heart failure, abnormal ECG changes like like QT prolongation or long QT syndrome. CARTINEX 500MG TABLET works by inhibiting the entry of sodium and potassium into the heart cells, thereby managing the calcium influx causing vasodilation and reduces ventricular tension, myocardial oxygen demand. Thus, relieving angina symptoms.

Directions for Use

Take CARTINEX 500MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

LIVERCARTINEX 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with moderate to severe liver disease and should be used with caution in mild liver disease. HEART DISEASECARTINEX 500MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with moderate to severe heart failure, abnormal ECG changes like QT prolongation or long QT syndrome. OTHERSCARTINEX 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you have: rare hereditary problems like galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency and glucose-galactose malabsorption Use in pediatrics: CARTINEX 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
