It contains Clotrimazole as an active ingredient which is effective in inhibiting infection-causing fungus. Oral thrush produces slightly raised, creamy white, sore patches in the mouth or tongue. Clotrimazole acts as an anti-fungal agent by stopping the synthesis of ergosterol which is a key component of the fungal cell membrane and further inhibits growth of fungal cells.
