INTRODUCTION ABOUT CALACTOMINE LOTIONCalactomine Lotion is an antihistamine and protectant combination used to provide temporary relief from pain and itching associated with insect bites, minor burns, sun burn, minor skin irritations, minor cuts, scrapes, and rashes due to poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. It contains Calamine, Diphenhydramine, and Camphor as active ingredients that helps to soothen irritated skin. Calamine and camphor have mild astringent properties that exerts a cooling sensation on the skin to relieve minor irritations whereas Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine works by blocking the effects of histamine (a chemical messenger), thereby relieving allergic symptoms such as itching and irritations. Always use Calactomine Lotion exactly as advised by your doctor. It is for external use only.
