Introduction
INTRODUCTION ABOUT CADOMER OINTMENTCADOMER OINTMENT contains Cadexomer Iodine which belongs to a group of medicines called Anti-Bacterial agents. It is used for the management of chronic exuding wounds such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers and infected traumatic and surgical wounds. CADOMER OINTMENT is not recommended for use if you have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (underactive thyroid), non-toxic nodular goitre (enlargement of thyroid gland) and history of grave’s disease (overactive thyroid). Consult your doctor before applying it. CADOMER OINTMENT should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor before applying it. How It Works
CADOMER OINTMENT is an antibacterial agent works by killing the bacteria which helps to cleans the wound, reduces pain and speeds up the healing process.
Directions for Use
Always apply CADOMER OINTMENT as advised by your doctor. It is for external use only. Clean the wound and surrounding area with sterile water or saline. Do not dry the wound surface. With a gloved finger, apply CADOMER OINTMENT onto a piece of dry sterile gauze, to cover the entire wound to a depth of 3 mm; then place the gauze on the wound. Place a secondary dressing over the gauze and then lightly run a finger over the dressing to smoothen it out and spread the medicine underneath to the shape of the wound and to a minimum depth of 3 mm.

Drug - Drug interactions: Before applying CADOMER OINTMENT inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine: lithium (used to manage mania) medicines used to manage infections (Ex. taurolidine, mercurochrome and thiomersal) Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally use too much of this medicine, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. In case of excessive topical use of this medicine, the management should be stopped and wound area must be washed and symptomatic management has to be initiated.
