Introduction
BRONKOLIN 2 TABLET contains Salbutamol which belongs to the group of medicines called Bronchodilators. It is used to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). How It Works
BRONKOLIN 2 TABLET is a bronchodilator. It relaxes the smooth muscles of the airways and widens them. It also blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the airways (such as mast cells) that cause inflammation and swelling. As a result, it reduces airway inflammation, manages the airways from becoming narrow and allows the air to pass through more freely which makes breathing easier.
Directions for Use
Take BRONKOLIN 2 TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not cursh or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Do not stop taking BRONKOLIN 2 TABLET without consulting your doctor as it may make your symptoms re-appear once again.
Side Effects

DRIVING AND USING MACHINESDo not drive or operate any heavy tools or machines if your ability is affected by BRONKOLIN 2 TABLET. ALLERGYDo not take BRONKOLIN 2 TABLET if you are allergic to Salbutamol. HEART DISEASEBRONKOLIN 2 TABLET should be used with caution in patients with heart diseases (such as irregular or fast heartbeat or angina) or a previous history of the same. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it. OTHERSBRONKOLIN 2 TABLET is not recommended for use in patients having: threatened abortion (miscarriage especially during the first 6 months of pregnancy) Before taking BRONKOLIN 2 TABLET, inform your physician if you: have an over-active thyroid gland have diabetes Use in pediatrics: BRONKOLIN 2 TABLET is not recommended for use in children younger than 2 years of age. It can be used in children (aged between 2-18 years) if prescribed by the physician. Therefore, consult your doctor for advice. Use in geriatrics: BRONKOLIN 2 TABLET should be taken with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years or above). Therefore, consult your doctor before using it. Proper dose adjustments and careful monitoring are required in such patients.
Drug Interactions
SA. Drug-Drug interactions: Before taking BRONKOLIN 2 TABLET, inform your physician if you are taking any of the following medicines such as: other beta-blockers (used to manage high blood pressure or other heart conditions) Ex. atenolol, propranolol and sotalol digoxin (a medicine used to manage heart rhythm disorder) other corticosteroids (taken orally or via injections to manage pain or inflammation) Ex. dexamethasone potassium-sparging diuretics (used to manage high blood pressure by increasing urine output) Ex. spironolactone, acetazolamide xanthine medicines (used to manage asthma) Ex. theophylline and aminophylline medicines used to manage depression such as (phenelzine, iproniazid, isocarboxazid, nialamide, tranylcypromine, moclobemide, venlafaxine, mirtazapine, fluoxetine, paroxetine, amitriptyline, desipramine, imipramine etc.) Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally took more BRONKOLIN 2 TABLET, contact your doctor immediately or go to the hospital straight away. Symptoms of overdosage might include low blood potassium levels causing muscle twitching or weakness with irregular heartbeat.
