Introduction
BENITOWA BETA 25MG TABLET is a combination of Benidipine and Metoprolol which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensives. It is used in the management of hypertension, a condition in which the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high for a long-term resulting in blurry or double vision, light-headedness, fainting, fatigue, headache, palpitations, nosebleeds, shortness of breath and nausea or vomiting. It may eventually cause health problems such as heart disease. Avoid drinking grapefruit juice while taking BENITOWA BETA 25MG TABLET as it may reduce your blood pressure. BENITOWA BETA 25MG TABLET is not recommended in patients having severe asthma or severe attack of wheezing and non-cancerous tumour (phaeochromocytoma) near kidneys, serious heart or blood vessel diseases and decreased blood pressure. BENITOWA BETA 25MG TABLET should be used with caution among patients having liver dysfunction or liver disease. This medicine is also not recommended for use among pregnant, breast-feeding women, children and adolescents (under 18 years of age). It should be cautiously used among elderly people. How It Works
BENITOWA BETA 25MG TABLET helps to reduce high blood pressure, where benidipine works by relaxing the blood vessels supplying the heart to improve the blood flow by reducing the influx of calcium into cells and metoprolol works by reducing the force of contraction of the heart muscles by blocking the effects of certain hormones called adrenaline and making the heart to beat more easily thus it lowers the blood pressure. These actions together effectively reduce the high blood pressure.
Directions for Use
Take BENITOWA BETA 25MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Do not stop taking BENITOWA BETA 25MG TABLET unless your doctor advice you to stop.
