Alpha-lipoic acid easily enters the brain and the peripheral nerves and penetrates all parts of nerve cells to neutralise free radicals and stop the nerve tissue from ageing too quickly or degenerating chronically. Methylcobalamin improves the metabolism and antioxidant capability of brain and vascular endothelial cells to manage peripheral neuropathy. Pyridoxine helps to protect nerves from further damage, restores its structural and functional integrity and causes a recovery of function. Benfotiamine plays a role in glucose metabolism (conversion of glucose to energy) and helps to reduce blood sugar levels.
