INTRODUCTION ABOUT BACTOGARD CV 50MG DRY SYRUPBACTOGARD CV 50MG DRY SYRUP is a combination of Cefpodoxime and Clavulanic acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Cephalosporins and Beta-lactamase inhibitors, respectively. BACTOGARD CV 50MG DRY SYRUP is used in children to manage mild to moderate infections such as otitis media (middle ear infection), nose & throat infections, respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, reproductive tract infection, and skin infection. BACTOGARD CV 50MG DRY SYRUP is not recommended for use in children allergic to Cefpodoxime, Clavulanic acid, and/or other cephalosporin group of antibiotics. It is also not recommended for use in children suffering from galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency (lactose intolerance), and glucose-galactose malabsorption (condition marked by body’s inability to absorb glucose and galactose sugars). Before administering BACTOGARD CV 50MG DRY SYRUP, inform your doctor if the child has previous history of hypersensitivity reactions to medicines such as cefpodoxime, other cephalosporins, penicillin, and/or have kidney problems (such as mild/moderate/severe renal impairment), and liver problems (such as hepatic insufficiency/impairment).
