Introduction
AZUSA 16 TABLET contains Azelnidipine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensive agents. It is indicated for the management of stage-I and stage-II hypertension. Hypertension is a condition in which force of the blood is consistently high against the walls of the arteries which can increase the risk of heart disease, kidney disease or stroke. Stage I hypertension has systolic pressure ranging from 130 to 139 mm Hg or a diastolic pressure ranging from 80 to 89 mm Hg. Stage II hypertension has systolic pressure ranging from 140 mm Hg or higher or a diastolic pressure ranging from 90 mm Hg or higher. Along management with AZUSA 16 TABLET, your doctor might advise you to follow certain lifestyle changes such as eating healthy diet, taking adequate sleep, weight and stress management and avoid smoking or drinking alcohol. Before taking AZUSA 16 TABLET inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney diseases or any other medical conditions. Your doctor might ask you to take some blood tests before initiating the management with AZUSA 16 TABLET to understand the existing condition and for proper use of this medicine. How It Works
AZUSA 16 TABLET works by inhibiting the movement of calcium ions into both vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle resulting in lower blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and improving the flow of blood to the heart muscles.
Directions for Use
Take AZUSA 16 TABLET as advised by your doctor. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age and general health condition. Do not stop taking AZUSA 16 TABLET unless your doctor advises you to stop.
