INTRODUCTION ABOUT AMPOXIN 250MG INJECTIONAMPOXIN 250MG INJECTION is a combination of Ampicillin and Cloxacillin which belongs to the group of medicines called Penicillin Antibiotics. It is used to manage respiratory tract infections, bacterial meningitis, septicaemia, endocarditis, urinary tract infections, pelvic infections, skin and soft tissue infections, gastrointestinal infections, infected wounds or lung infections after surgery, puerperal fever, ear, nose and throat infections in moderately severe and severe infections and for patients who are unable to take the oral forms. AMPOXIN 250MG INJECTION is a combination of Ampicillin and cloxacillin where ampicillin (has a broad spectrum of bactericidal activity against many gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. It acts through the inhibition of cell wall mucopeptide biosynthesis during the stage of active multiplication.) Cloxacillin manages bacteria from reproducing, which allows your body to fight only the existing bacteria.

Drug-Drug interactions: Inform your physician, if you are taking, medicines used to manage gout (Ex. probenecid, allopurinol) methotrexate (used for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis or cancer) medicines used to manage pregnancy (Ex. oral contraceptives) medicines used to manage bacterial infections (Ex. amikacin, gentamycin, chloramphenicol, erythromycin, sulphonamides and tetracyclines) acetylsalicylic acid (medicine used to manage blood clots) Overdosage: AMPOXIN 250MG INJECTION will be administered to you only by a doctor or a nurse in a hospital and so it is unlikely to receive an overdose. However, consult your doctor or nurse if you experience any unusual symptoms like nausea, vomiting and diarrhea or neurotoxic symptoms like limb weakness or numbness, loss of memory, loss of vision, headache in very high doses in patients with kidney problems.
