AMANTAVAC 100 CAPSULE is a dopamine agonist and an anti-viral agent that manages Parkinson's disease and certain type of viral infections. As a dopamine agonist, it works by increasing the amount of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain which regulates the body movements. As an antiviral agent, it works against viruses to prevent their growth and multiplication. It also stops the viruses from releasing infectious chemicals (viral nucleic acid) to enter into the body which protects from influenza infection.

Directions for Use

Take AMANTAVAC 100 CAPSULE as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Drug-drug interactions: Before taking AMANTAVAC 100 CAPSULE inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines: Anti-parkinsonian agents (such as procyclidine, levodopa) hyoscine (used to manage stomach spasms or cramps) Anipsychotic agents (such as chlorpromazine, haloperidol, thioridazine) Diuretics (such as hydrochlorothiazide, amiloride, triamterene) quinidine (used in the management of irregular heartbeat) live attenuated influenza vaccine (used in the prevention of influenza) Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of AMANTAVAC 100 CAPSULE, consult with your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Overdosage symptoms of AMANTAVAC 100 CAPSULE are overactive bodily reflexes, convulsions, extrapyramidal signs (such as inability to remain physically still, involuntary muscle contractions), muscle twitching, dilated pupils, difficulty swallowing, confusion, disorientation, delirium, hallucinations, hyperventilation, pulmonary oedema, respiratory distress, cardiac arrest, fast or irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, renal dysfunction and urinary retention.
