Introduction

ALLORIX 100 TABLET contains Allopurinol which belongs to a group of medicines called Enzyme inhibitors. It is used to gout, uric acid nephropathy, hyperuricemia, uric acid renal calculi and calcium oxalate renal calculi. Gout is a form of arthritis due to high levels of uric acid in the body and this uric acid builds up in the joints and tendons as crystals causing severe pain, redness and tenderness in joints. Before taking ALLORIX 100 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, high blood pressure or heart problems, thyroid, cancer or Lesch-Nyhan syndrome, gout attack, lactose or galactose intolerance and glucose-galactose malabsorption. ALLORIX 100 TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant women and it is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it passes through the breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking it. ALLORIX 100 TABLET is not recommended for use in children below children under 15 years of age except in some types of cancer such as leukaemia and certain enzyme disorders such as Lesch-Nyhan syndrome. How It Works

ALLORIX 100 TABLET works by stopping the enzyme (xanthine oxidase) which is responsible for production of uric acid. Thus lowering the levels of uric acid in blood and urine and decreases the incidence of gout symptoms.

Directions for Use

Take ALLORIX 100 TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicines with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
