Syndet base contains surfactants that help in cleansing out dirt and impurities. Benzoyl peroxide exhibits antibacterial activity by inhibiting bacteria on the skin surface that are responsible for causing acne. Zinc PCA exhibits anti-inflammatory action on the acne and helping to reduce the associated swelling and redness accompanying breakouts.
